Green tea contains six basic polyphenols, known to us as catechins. The catechins contained in green tea can refresh the body from free radicals that damage cells. The green tea essential oil has antioxidant properties and anti-aging effects and so it is used in cosmetic industry. Moreover, green tea essential oil is suitable for sensitive and irritated skin and provides immediate relief, soothing redness. For this use, it is advisable to apply compresses to the problem area or to spread with diluted drops of essential oil in vegetable oil of calendula.
